Being an interdisciplinary artistic research project bringing diverse perspectives together, there are also diverse theoretical directions involved. On a very basic level one could say that we deal with models concerning the human-environment-relation, which include process-based modells of perception, of action, and of media structures. Hereby we start from some basic assumptions: First of all we see the human-environment-relation as a variable network of human and non-human agents which develops specific dynamics to create situations of experience and action. This assumption includes a complex notion of mutilateral dynamics which find their main sources in models of non-dualistic thinking.
A first source for the project are the philosophical approaches to atmosphere reflecting the specific conditions under which atmospheres emerge and are experienced/percieved.→ zwei, drei weitere Sätze dazu; Verweis auf das Modell des Human in the Loop und das technologische Konzept des Feedback Loops.
Atmospheres are phenomena which have a strong relation to affection and emotion. Therefore the current discussion on affection, emotion and media is a second inspiring source for the project.
